Chris is a local UWA graduate (MBBS) who trained in Cardiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (FRACP).  Post graduate training in Interventional Cardiology was performed at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Chris is an Interventional Cardiologist with interests in radial (wrist) access for coronary angiography and stent implantation, intravascular ultrasound, optical coherence tomography, and the use of Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) to guide appropriate stent implantation.  Other areas of interest include the management of resistant hypertension, dyslipidemia and lifestyle intervention to decrease cardiovascular risk.

Chris has an interest in cardiovascular research directed towards a better understanding of the causes of heart disease and improving patient outcomes.  Chris completed a Master of Clinical Research degree through UWA (MClinRes) investigating the role of inflammation in heart disease, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)  through the University of Melbourne investigating novel biomarkers to identify patients at high risk of heart disease.


Chris consults at Murdoch, Narrogin, Katanning, Midland  and Christmas Island.  Chris has admitting rights at the Mount Hospital, SJOG Murdoch and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
